Charity and Community Service
Golden Needles Quilt Guild was established as a “charitable” quilt organization for the community of Conroe and the surrounding area of Montgomery County. Over the years GNQG has established a good working relationship with many of our community’s non-profit groups.
Golden Needles Quilt Guild is proud to lend a helping hand to our local community. With quilts, monetary donations, foodstuffs, and other items, we currently offer support to: New Life Women's Center, St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry, Fairway House, the Red Cross, the Grief Resources Center, Child Protective Services, Camp for All, the VFW, North Montgomery Voluntary Fire Department and Interfaith here in Conroe. If you are interested in helping your community, or spending time with some great people and fellow quilters, please come to visit our quilt guild. HOW CAN YOU HELP???? Bring food items for the shelter. Continue to make pillow ponies for the Red Cross. Pick up a charity quilt kit at a meeting to finish. WE WOULD LOVE TO HAVE 20 QUILTS BY CHRISTMAS TO GIVE TO WOMEN'S SHELTER RESIDENTS ... THEY SHOULD FINISH TO APPROX. 42X50. Bring at item for charity and receive an extra ticket for a door prize.
